After some recent events, we ended up changing the date from October 2nd to September 25th. We were contacted by the Weatherford Chamber of Commerce with an opportunity that seemed appealing. And, we have never really headed west on one of these runs, so we decided to take advantage of the opportunity. We still have lots of details to work out as far as the actual route and stops. We will start in Arcadia again at the Route 66 Softball Complex thanks to Red Dirt Athletics. We will make our way out to Weatherford on the two lanes taking in some of historic Route 66 including a trip across the historic Pony Bridge that will soon be taken out of commission according to the Route 66 Foundation. Once we reach our final destination, we will enjoy another great lunch from Daddy D's BBQ. More details coming on the route and any possible stops, etc.
7:30 Begin registration
8:45 Driver's meeting
9:00 Start driving
The focus of the event will be the same as previous years and for cars and trucks 1972 and older.
This will be a rain or shine event and unless we end up in some sort of lockdown caused by Covid-19, we will make the run. We know we want to get out and drive and suspect others do as well...
If you have any questions or suggestions about the run, feel free to contact Jeff Smith at firstname.lastname@example.org
